I don't drive our Doblo Cargo anywhere near as much as Mrs_G but whenever I do I am struck by the general level of road noise. I put this down to: Reinforced tyres running at 40/50psi and relativley hard suspension.
Our Doblo is fitted with the factory steel bulkhead between the cab and load area for saftey reasons. This has a painted surface which seems to be the perfect way of reflecting noise back to the driver.
As an experiment I bought some strong magnets off ebay and used them to hold a travel rug in position across the full width of the bulkhead bhind the seats. The reduction in the general noise level is amazing.
This won't be of much interest to those who only go short distances but longer journeys are much more pleasant. I tried the same in a van without a bulkhead a few years ago (an old blanket held in place using spring clips between the load area and cab area) with similar results.
I suspect later Doblos may have fabric covered bulkheads but if not I'd recommend giving the magnets/rug method a try.
