I mentioned in my 'introductions' a problem with my new toy (Doblo 1.9 Cargo 02 02 with 35k miles) and paste the same here for any thoughts.
First findings reveal 38 mpg on the journey home (200 miles), an obvious problem with the heater (very feeble) which points me to a problem in the cooling system
There is a leak somewhere I suspect, possibly where a return pipe enters the header tank (signs of leakage present in that area) in which case it is not letting the coolant / water get up to pressure. I plan to drain and flush the system to see what else I can find but would appreciate any thoughts. The engine pulls reasonably well (80 mph top speed so far) it starts and ticks over well so I think the head gasket is OK.
