Hi,

Cambelt time again. It's the 1.9, 120bhp, multijet, turbo, dpf, 2006 model.

Previously I've had the local dealer replace it but it did cost a lot. So this time I'm going to be brave and plan to do it myself.

The last one I replaced was on an '84 Astra, that was a few years back!

I've got the eLearn CD manual which is very helpful but it would be good to read through another guide.

Is there one?

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ron.

Hi,

There are guides for 1.9 engines (Alfa, Vauxhall plus others). The blocks and layout look remarkably like the 1.9 Doblo. Are all these 1.9 engines basically the same or is that too much of a generalisation?

Cheers

Ron

I have done many cam belts over the years the one thing I always do is to turn the engine over by hand on the bottom pulley two complete turns before starting.

For the sake of a few minutes to check nothing is hitting it can save many hundreds of pounds of damage.

I believe they are FiatPowerTrain units

My Grande is the same as a Corsa

My mates Saab 9-3 used a FIAT EGR valve..and this forum to show how to change it.. (y)

 look up the Gates belt kit..

See which vehicles it is designed to fit
