Hello All,

I have a 2014 Doblo 1.3 Diesel with A13FD engine.

After driving for about 15-20 seconds, it goes into limp mode, there is very little response from the throttle and EML light comes on. Turning the ignition off and back on solves the problem and it drives fine, but after 15-20 seconds it goes into limp mode again.

The 2 EML codes on the system are:

P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected
P0402 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected

If i clear these codes, the EML light disappears, but after 15-20 second of driving it re-appears with the same codes present.

A local mechanic swapped the EGR with one from another vehicle but unfortunately the problem remains (although it does run a little longer 30-40 secondsbefore the symptoms above appear).

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions please?

The 2 EGR's did have mild carbon build up, but the mechanic didnt think it was excessive.

Thanks in advance

Otis

Hi :)

How can you REALLY have too high.. and too low within 20 seconds..

Something odd is happening there..

Did 'the mechanic' do any other diagnostic tests before swapping the parts

My multijet is pre.dpf .. so a lot less sensors

But I would be uncoupling the cable to the EGR VALVE .. and seeing if you get OVER or UNDER as an error

If its OVER and the valve is SHUT.. suspect a bad pressure sensor

Same Doblo 64 plate.

I had a similar problem it was the EGT Sensor. At the front of the engine by the bonnet catch. I replaced this and it solved the problem. It was reading a temp of 10,000 degrees

QUESTION. are there one or two EGT Sensors on these Doblo’s I know some cars have two the second one being in the exhaust
