I,m Looking at purchasing a 2016 Doblo 1.3 multijet 90bhp diesel, 61000miles, anything I need to look out for mechanically? I’m presuming it’s a timing chain, what’s the service interval for the chain?
Any info much appreciated and Thanks in advance for your help.

If the chain is noisy then it needs replacing straight away.

I believe 100,000miles is the figure fiat reccomend though lots Don't make it that far due to lack of oil changes/fiat extended oil change interval. If you buy van change oil and filter more often than fiat reccomend .

Oil quality is the key to chainlife

And at 60k.. it should still be fine

Generally @120k for a chain

Some have failed at 85k..
but many well serviced Fleet vans do 250k without issue.

My 1248cc fleet are on 105 ,92 and 78
Nothing untoward as yet

Do check the glowplug light.. as the later additional kit makes access awkward to change them

Also see if the phone connection system 'Blue and Me' works ok.. no flashing mileage.. or dash warnings

I’m not sure Fiat did have a specific recommended change interval for the chain, if it did it would be more like 200,000 miles certainly not 100,000 which is the interval for most cam belts these days.

That said there have been some people on here who have had a chain break in the 30k mile area, by which point you might have only had 3 services, if worried at 61,000 then I’d not let it put you off but budget to get a new chain fitted when you can, generally you could be ok for well passed 100,000 miles as Charlie has pointed out with his fleet, my own 1.3 multijet was sold with 120,000 miles and absolutely no concerns about the chain
