What is the difference between the normal bulb failure yellow light and a daytime running light failure? I have an '11 Doblo and there is no separate DRL fail light.

On mine I had a brake light bulb go and it cane up with the yellow triangle and check brake light message - if I remember rightly ?

Iv not scanned them to be honest, ill have a look at that when I get van back from the garage. I'll see if my scanner will do that then update ?

I tried another pair of new side light bulbs today and refit the running lights and connections look clean and like new. I tried my scanner but it doesnt have airbag and abs function. It doesnt have any errors on a basic scan. Is this warning triangle an MOT failure? All lights work fine. Cheers. Tom.

Try turning the day running lights on and check they both work, if they don't work then there is a fault somewhere.

to clear the drl warning you may have to fix the problem and turn the drl on then off so the computer can tell problem fixed.

If it's like the 500 the side light bulb has twin filaments -one filament is side light the other filament is drl.

Iv replaced all the bulbs and they all work fine, just the annoying warning triangle ?

Did the bulb holders look 'crispy'?

Some melting could be enough..

My Punto DRLs are single filament.. but @42,000 miles with them on made its mark

No they look like new, ill have to follow the wires if I can and check them next ?

Your Dobby is a more upmarket one than mine.
Just been out to check, and the DRL failure doesn't show up if the DRL's are switched off.
But on mine, its just a common yellow bulb failure indication - it doesn't show which lamp is out, and I don't have a yellow triangle for anything!
