Against my better judgement, I had to replace the battery on my Dobby.
The old one was serviceable - but a change of use / home / wife dictated that a more predictable starting pattern was called for when new woman was driving it.
The hateful Stop Start had expired some years ago, a function, I suspected, of the aging battery (it's 8 years old).
Turns out my fears were realised.
Yes, the engine does spin in a more sprightly fashion, but the godawful Stop Start is back. Often stopping before the engine is even slightly warm - a no no in my book.
Getting into the habit of hitting the off switch is proving tedious!
The old battery may be put back on when it gets warmer!!
