Hi all, been many years since ive been on a forum, did a search and couldnt find the info i needed so sorry to hit you with a boring question.

The old cargo van is an early model 2001, its the gutless 1.9d engine, was out driving recently, all of a sudden the clutch pedal disappeared! It was gone! I foolishly took it out of gear and rolled to a stop. It was up under the dash and willeither pull up to the front of the dash or back under it, so no pedal at all.

Whats the cause please? To me its like a clutch cable snapped But i dont think they have a cable as i cant identify any relevant part online.

Any idea as to what needs replacing?

Thats where a slave cylinder would be

Some modern FIATs have isdues with mastercylinder.. if you LIFT the pedal back to its normal position.. it might work normally for a short time

Thanks for the reply, the pedal is either sprung all the way forward or all the way back likes its disconnected from something (ie like a cable has snapped) never had a van thats broken down so much and i have 6 in my current fleet. Teach me for buying an old van i guess
