ive a 2011 doblo 1.3 multijet it has blown two radiators and seams to be over pressurising the cooling system when I leave cap off expansion tank the are some bubbles . no oil in water or water in oil . the engine sounds ok and has not lost power is this a head gasket thanks Andy

Hi Andy, this happened to me, except the pipes went instead of the radiator. first one from the thermostat then a couple of days later the top pipe, half way down the A9 (exciting to say the least) my reservoir cap sounded like it wanted to pop when the RAC man arrived and filled the system again. I had vapor or fumes and bubbles in the reservoir the RAC guy recond it was 99% sure to be the cylinder head gasket.

your head gasket has gone, so pistons are pressurising cooling system through the gap. a sniff test will confirm this.

you wont get oil water mix when gasket goes between water way and cylinder

Always worth checking egr cooler before you strip the head down as they will give exactly the same symptoms
