2012 1.3 multijet stop start, big ends have gone engine code 263a2.000

the question is what engines are an option to fit. vaxhall a13fd or is an older spec z13dt engine the same bare engine? not very familiar with fiat spec engines so any help appreciated.

Its a FPT product..

Generationally the Euro emissions rating should give some hints ..

But AFAIK there were no significant changes pre DPF

Once DPFs came.. lots of ancilliaries swapped around.. so 2010+ might be a good idea

Comparing part No's will probably paint a great picture too

Hi
Don't make the same mistake i did and buy an engine second hand as the one i ordered originally was to have only done around 50k ended up with no compression a hole in the manifold seized alternator EGR pipe cut and completely carboned up
In the end i had my original engine reconditioned and was the best thing i did
Runs like a new engine and cost me £700 with a good warranty
Currently its been great and have done about 70 miles

This is the finished result IMG_20201023_142622.jpeg

Was the damage a result of oil contamination ( starvation)

Or the typical loading following a chain failure?

I meant compare major component part numbers.. cranks..flywheels
Blocks

Or clutch and chain kits if looking at aftermarket

IF the short engines look unchanged

A running Grandd Punto will be the cheapest good option

My MOT failure.. 95k FSH.. Great runner 'sold' for £410 via Ebay

Still running great another year on

Any motor you consider will want a chain set for any longerterm reliability ;)

the a13dte is guarenteed for 6 months and is £450 delivered. removed from rear end shunt 2012 car with 63000 miles. it is the dpf engine so should work great but on delivery im going to compression and timing checks before its fitted.
