Interested to know how much anyone thinks I should be paying for new discs and pads, fitted?

Doblo has done 45,000 miles in 2 1/2 years, gone through two sets of pads but now discs are knackered as well.

I haven't enquired with dealer yet, but forewarned is forearmed. I may take to local independent JCS Kegworth, except they can't tackle any warranty items.

Anyone had any experience of getting discs done?

Regards

Don't know how much the disc's would be mate but I just had my pads changed and that cost £40 fitted.

Check az motors for drilled discs £50 each, pads £40. DIY and save a packet with a better setup?

Changing brake pads and discs isn't a hard job on a Fiat. DIY and you could save yourself a tidy sum. Be careful of the cheaper drilled discs - they are prone to cracking. To improve the braking use grooved discs instead. If you have solid discs rather than vented then use dimpled and grooved.

Well I have been quoted £276 incl. to have discs and pads changed at Independent Dealer. Have decided to do it myself as have costed parts upto £75, so £200 odd is too much of a mark up for about an hours labour.

I've replaced discs many times but is one of those jobs where occassionally problems crop up with run out.

Cheers for advice.
