So, I have a 06 plate 1.9 jtd multi jet.
Cam belt has failed,
Question is, how much damage do these cause,
Are they full interference and do they have rockers.

I'll start stripping it tomorrow but I'm wondering if I'm waisting my time and better off buying an engine.

Hi, so I put a belt on, it started but running lumpy, missing a bit.
I dont have the correct tool to set tdc so struggling to confirm timing correct before I take head off.

My cam belt snapped due to a seized water pump. Loads of damage; needed new valves (bent stems) and repair to cam drive. This is 8V engine 2004 105PS. It was a big and expensive job

I believe it is all now back together

Hi, yes it turned out I had one bent valve.
I did it all myself, not the easiest engine to work on.
All in I think I spent around £250 on parts.
That's, all 8 valves, water pump and belt kit. Head gasket, head set, head bolts. Head skimmed. Oil and oil filter. And antifreeze
