Hi I have a fiat Doblo 1.9 JTD 120 BHP the problem is once it warms up about a mile driving the engine keeps cutting out if I wait about 10 to 15 minutes it starts again only to stop a short time later I have changed the fuel filter but its still the same or in face getting worse as it starts cutting out now even before getting to the proper temp, any help would be much appreciated also my backbone has come off I have a new one but have not replaced it yet the problem with cutting out started after the exhaust back box fell off

Hi! Our old dobby did this for a while and a new crankshaft sensor solved the problem! A fiddle to change! But the parts relatively cheap to buy.

Cutting out with temperature being a factor ..
does point to the Crank Angle Sensor

Basically it does no longer tell the ECU that the engine is turning.. so it doesnt inject fuel

They dont always throw an error code.. as the ECU just thinks the crank is stationary

My backbone is playing up with all my EGR work..
if only I could get another.. ;)
