Hi, I have a 2009 1.9 jtd. I have what looks like fresh oil spray around the right hand side of the engine bay. Engine oil level is fine and no leaks under the car. Anybody have any advice please of what to check? All obvious fluid levels are good. Not sure how to check the gearbox oil level but gears are fine. Can't see or feel any split hoses. I have cleaned the area to see if it comes back. All advice gratefully received...

Hi, its on the fuel filter side. The left is fine. I've cleaned it off to see if it comes back

Where did it spray..
Inner wing.. bulkhead.. ?

Hi, many thanks for taking an interest. The oil has sprayed on the bulkhead, the lhs of the power steering box and the back of the battery and tray. Everywhere else is clean. I can't see what direction it may have come from. I do my own oil changes. Could overfilling cause it? I have the underway fitted so it could not have come from underneath? I waxoyl the underside but this looked like fresh oil. The only odd thing I could find was the radiator reservoir was on min. Could the coolant have sprayed from somewhere to mix with oil already around the engine bay? Although the bay was pretty clean to sart with...Many thanks again for your help.

Give everthing a good wipe over.. anything new will be obvious after

Odd with the coolant though.. could be related.. worth checking frequently for a while.. should never drop in reality..
