The rear wiper is playing up inasmuch as EVERY time I turn on the ignition it goes through several wipes and then stops, sometimes vertical. On the stalk I can then turn it on and off to get it into a 'parked' position, it'll stop precisely when I switch it off.

My question is this, is there a solenoid somewhere that controls it? Or is it related to the stalk/switch?

It's 2010 Doblo (263) with a lift up tailgate.

Your help and comments are appreciated.

Hi

My suspicion is:

Wiring damage at the hatch hinge..

Powering up car .. (fuel pump maybe..) is giving it a brief burst of 12 volts

SEARCH 'maybelline' on here for more info

;)

Good luck..and do let us know what you find

Charlie

Thanks for the info.

I forgot to mention that the rear number plate light bulbs aren't working (although they don't look blown) and the door handle isn't working (have to use the key in it). Which potentially all fits in with dodgy loom by the door opening.

This was the wiring at the tailgate hinge...

All fixed now apart from the door handle, which I've got a new one coming via well known Internet auction site.

Wow that is a mess! I only had earth break may be as its thicker, all others seem ok though clearly fatigued over 12 years , I just pulled a new bit through and spliced each side of flexy
