Hi all
I don't know if it's my advancing years, third world country roads road or whether my Doblo has a rear suspension problem. The ride is choppy and propels occupants in many directions. It bumps and thumps over the roads, and sometimes the rear lurches when cornering.
I have changed the rear shocks and bump stops, with no change
I can't (nor did the MOT on) find any worn bushes or parts, so l've nothing to start with
I did consider changing the leaf springs, but the cost makes this an expensive "might fix it" option
All suggestions on finding the cause, or even changing the rear suspension away from horse and cart tech would be greatly appreciated
Air suspension would be great, but can't justify on an 08 Dobbie, as much as like her!

Hi :)

Might seem daft..

But get a wheel brace on all 4 wheels

3/9 position : horizontal ;)

Load back and forth.. looking for movement between the arches

I had the 'lurching and vague'

Turned out to be FRONT wishbones ..were just badly aged rubber

Simple check with wheels on the ground ;)

Bit late but, no movement with brace as suggested

I was hoping for a steer(!!!) at the next MOT, but that's be postponed by 6 months
Not dangerous, just annoying

Thanks for all suggestions

Shocks gone soft non existent ? remove one end & see if you can move easily
How meany miles

Back again, sorry for the forced absence. This seems to have gotten worse but l can't find a cause for it. I did load it up once with some concrete slabs, l wondered if l had damaged the leaf springs? Its just done 98,000 miles, the rear shocks and rebounds are around 30,000 miles. I was working that if it was the shocks it'd be like a bouncy castle and just keep moving until it felt like stopping, this is like going over constant potholes, crashing and thumping along with chucking the occupants in all directions. I've checked the rubber bushes and none have been reported as worn or advisory on MOTs. Any advice gratefully received as usual. Thanks
PS What's a working eper now, Fiatdalys not up either???
