Hi!
I'm newbie at this forum.
My van is Fiat Doblo, 2012 reg.

So I disconnected battery today for about one hour, wanted to install remote central locking , but ended up not doing it. Anyway after connecting battery back tried to start the van but did not have much luck. Engine was cranking but did not start. On dashboard was message "noFPS" and little car symbol with padlock on it. Central locking did not work, wipers were running though I did not switch them on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. 20190928_161204.jpeg

Yes, that's weird.I have 3 keys, tried all of them...

Tried to connect to OBD2 port with bluetooth adapter, which I connected before on this van , no luck either.

Bought hardwired scan tool , could not connect to vehicle either:)

You could try the general area of this forum or technical. The Doblo is quite niche' and someone out there might know of this issue on other vehicles which may cover your problem.

With your aborted aytempt to fit the locking kit.

What preparation work DID OCCURR?

ANY fuses pulled..plugs disconnected etc

Worth adding a second earth cable from battery to gearbox.. because youve obviously disturbed a circuit somewhere.

Pretty damp in uk currently.. not got water ingress issues?

Internal failure of main battery earth is a regular issue on here..along with damp fuseboxes.

Where are you based?

Charlie

No, I have not pulled out any fuses, I just took plastic covers under the steering wheell off , taken door trim off the door and then realised that a bit more complicated that I imagined going to be and not worth doing it and that was it.

One of the mechanic says it probably problem with immobiliser. What I need to do is reprogram all the keys again to link them to ECU again.

Thanks, done it.
