Technical DPF regeneration

As it’s sayimg 339% clogged, it’s worth considering that the DPF sensor may also be damaged.

Sometime if the filter becomes severely blocked the pressure I the DPF can build up to such an extent that it over pressures the sensor and damages it. That reading suggest to me that the sensor is damaged, I would probably disconnect the DPF sensors pipes, and reset everything and see if the pressure sensor is still reading 300+% blocked, if it is then you will at the very least need a new sensor.

Hi,
Did you reset the faults before trying the regeneration? If not do this first.
If it will still not regenerate then reset the service indicator AND the oil change. The oil change is on the ENGINE ECU under the adjustments tab.
If it still won't regenerate you could possibly try the "DPF replacement " adjustment and force a regeneration.

Don't forget to reset faults before you try regeneration each time.
I guess you read this, but the engine has to be fully wamed up befor you can force a regenereration.
If all this fails then you will have to get the DPF cleaned or replaced.

I tried to clear the faults but didnt try the other stuff. I'll give them a go... FFS, I hope that works. A new one of these is £2850+

Fuming I didnt see that paperwork to show how to clear it easy at the beginning!! :(

Cheers mate, i'll try these

Hi Andy, thanks fr this. It actually states "take appropriate action on sensor". Now I didnt have a clue what that mean, it sounds like you have just answered that.

Have you any idea where the pressure sensor is on the DPF?
My vehicle is 2016 Doblo 1.3, type 263 SX multijet

I would obviously undo the sensor when the vehicle is cold, then would I warm the engine to do the tests again.
Im sorry if Im sounding a bit gormless but this aint my field, Ive bought the software and don't want to pay ridiculous Fiat prices and normal garages dont have the software like I do.

Thanks Andy, you guys really are helpful and I really do appreciate it.

I tried them, I just think its too clogged. I dont know where the DPF sensor is to possibly take it off and clean it...

Anyway, I phoned a company who specialise in DPF cleaning. They come to your house and clean/clear the DPF with chemicals. Apparently this is the thing to do and at £160 its not the end of the world.
Has anyone had experiences with this that they could give me some tips on so I dont get stung???
Im very happy to pay that amount if it will clear the problem and make my vehicle run spot on.

DPF sensor can’t be cleaned but they are relatively cheap to replace.

I couldn’t get you a picture because it’s been tipping it down with rain all day, however.

It is mounted on the bulkhead at the back of the engine, it has two pipes going into it and an electrical connector, it’s fairly small and looks something like this

MES will carry out a forced regen and its simple to do. Takes 10 minutes. You should be able to check and clear all the error codes and sort it out. I have found it the best investment for a long time. Key programming alone has saved half its cost. See if someone nearby can assist.

You need to read back through the thread, he’s got MES he has tried to force a regen and it won’t work despite clearing all the codes and the reasons for this have been covered as well

Remove to dpf if you can and clean it externally with cleaning fluid
Then connect it back up and check the status with Mrs if the clogging hasn't gone down at all I'd look at Changing the sensor
After that try and do a forced regen
