Hi all
new here, about to buy a 08 1.3 multijet mpv with 169000km on the clock in greece no history! . this is from a dealer.. Cars are generally imported from Italy and I suspect auction or px buys... lucky to find one with history! the dealer has changed the chain and serviced it. does not look abused and looks in pretty good nick... should the water pump be changed too?
anything I should look out for?
any advice appreciated

Hi Steve.

Motors are ok. Good to have chain swap done..

Not sure about water pump on those..

Plenty of potential niggles on 11 year old mpv..

Common issues include:
Front suspension.. both wishbones and struts.

Door locks..and the weird link to fuel flap..


I dont actually own one.. so there will be more info to come..

thanks for your advice... yes need some help to check it out.
I drove a petrol 1.4 about 4 hours non stop to the north of Greece and found it a great drive apart from being under powered on hills. I thought the diesel would have a bit more oompf!

The 1.4 petrol is regarded as a plodding engine..

Only slightly more powerful than the 1242cc.. but using more fuel..

I have the 1248 diesel in a grande punto.

Goes ok..and fuel economy is reasonable.
