Hi im new here and was hoping someone could possibly give me some suggestions,

i have a 2003 doblo 1.9jtd sx ,its done 96.000 miles and when running runs lovely apart from a irritating problem,
it starts fine 90% of the time and runs great until it gets warm ,then it starts cutting out, it starts back up straight away and with a few revs goes back to normal, then after about 10 mins it starts being irratic again, i can tell when its going to happen because the revs start fluctuating on tick over, at lights or in traffic,
ive just changed the crank shaft sensor as i was told this is usually the cause of the problem in jtd engines, but it has made no difference,
ive tried plugging in a obd reader but it says cannot communicate with vehicle

an update to my problem which i am hoping someone can give me some advice on,

i have fitted a new crank sensor and the car is running better and not cutting out as often ,but it is still doing it intermittently, although it will restart straight away, so would the next step be to look at the egr, maf sensor and then the fuel pump ?

also check the map sensor at back of engine held in by 2 small bolts..also throttle shut off vacuum valve hiding under egr rear of engine....sensors gotta love em

thank you, i was beginning to think no one was going to reply(y)

ive changed the crankshaft sensor so far, ive discovered its not a jtd engine like i was told, its a 1.9 d sx ive put a pic up on here of my engine hoping someone can help me by pointing out the locations of things like the egr valve, map sensor etc

Have you checked fuel line connections, fuel return pipes etc.
Looking at the photo the fuel filter looks new?

yeah ive checked, im sorry to always be asking everyone for help but i was wondering if someone could please point out where the map sensor and egr valve are on my engine

Not sure about the MAP sensor ... however the location of the EGR valve is shown in this guide on how to remove and clean it ...

... and if your French is as good as mine this translation may help ...

Also, if you haven't already found it, there's an eLEARN manual for the Doblo here:

https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads.php?do=download&downloadid=451

downloaded the doblo workshop repair files and burned them to a disc ,it gets as far as the menu to choose language and model but when i press the image to continue nothing happens:(

Maybe the disk write failed and the iso image was corrupted?

Did the setup program run ok?

Are you on a Windows machine - I think I've seen some people have issues with other operating systems...

An alternative to burning the iso to a CD is to mount it as as virtual disk.

I use Elaborate Bytes Virtual CloneDrive.

As described on their website: "Virtual CloneDrive works and behaves just like a physical CD, DVD, or Blu-ray drive, although it only exists virtually. Image files can be "inserted" into the virtual drive from your harddisk or from a network drive by just a double-click, and thus be used like a normal CD, DVD, or Blu-ray."

It's free. Other similar programs are available.

I have downloaded and run the Doblo eLEARN succesfully on my Windows 7 machine with Virtual CloneDrive so I'm sure the files on the forum are ok. The only problem I had was when I downloaded "Doblo eLEARN.part05.rar" first time it was incomplete (only a few MB) but that soon became apparent because I couldn't reassemble/extract the iso file. I downloaded part05 it again and all was ok.
