Technical reversing sensors

Hi. Just had a towbar fitted to 2014 Doblo Maxi. When I engage reverse the sensors "kick off". Has anyone else had this problem and have they managed to over come it. Thanks for any help.

If they tied into the same power or ground point the reverse sensor unit uses, it may be setting it off.

When I installed my tow socket, I ran dedicated wires from the main power bus using fused relays (acc controlled) for both power and ground. As I didn't wanna risk shorting something out when not in use there's also a loop-back (power/ground) cut-off (think I used pin 4) so when the plug is out, power and ground are removed.

My observation is that the sensors might be "seeing" the tow bar as an object to be avoided. Not sure what can be done about it. I was warned of a potential for a problem when I had a tow bar fitted to a VW Sharan with parking sensors. I had to bend in the socket mount so it wouldn't be "seen".

when i fitted my own on a 2007 i disconnected centre two sensors...if possible try this.
