Hello first time post so please be gentle
My fiat van won’t start
It churns over then it will start it will run at a 1000 rpm then splutters to a stop. Churn it over again and the same happens but it chucks out loads of white smoke but it still won’t run. There are no fault codes on
Glow plug light comes on and off as it should
And help would be greatly appreciated

Had the van long.. had any other issues?

Check the fluid levels.. to make sure its not an obvious issue.

Had it 4 years never missed a beat it had a inlet manifold and egr valve recently but it’s been fine since then the garage said it could be the Ecu but they just rung me the put updated software on Ecu other than that it was fine they put it back on and it started straight away so it only cost me 45£ that’s a relief

It wouldn’t start before
they checked
Fuel to filter
Fuel to pump
fuel to injectors
Sent Ecu off it came back with no faults but they updated software on it
They put it back on at garage turned it over and it started straight away
He said they were scratching there heads as well
