Hi, the rev counter on my 2006 Doblo is stuck and won’t go below 5,800 when the vehicle is standing still. As soon as I drive, it shoots off the scale.

I’ve only had the van for two months, and all was fine until it lost power due to a faulty battery connection. As soon as this was fixed, the counter stopped working.

Does anyone know what the cause might be please, and whether the problem is likely to be with the rev counter alone, or whether there may be another underlying issue?

Thanks in advance for any clues!

You could try disconnecting battery over night it may help, :shrug:BUT don't forget radio re set code find it before you disconnect

Ooh, thanks a lot - I had wondered if that might work. Reckon my chances of finding the radio code are minimal, though... ?

Someone on the site supply's the code with information from you, cant remember what.
The codes were on a stiff card sheet with handbook, about the size of a postcard

Thanks a lot, that's really helpful! Will check the bumf that came with the van again, too...
