Hi,
As far as I know the Doblo does not have an oil temperature gauge. Very few vehicles do. If the water temperature gauge is only going to a quarter you probably have a thermostat stuck open. What engine do you have in the Doblo.

Hi,
Classic symptoms of a failed thermostat. Fairly easy job once you get access to it. I don't know the Doblo setup but on my 1.9 16V JTD Croma time spent taking the battery box out was well worth it. I only drained down the coolant to the thermostat level as it was fairly new, but if the van is new to you I'd suggest new coolant as well. You will notice a significant improvement in fuel consumption with a working thermostat.

Hello again Robert cheers for the info I did already change the coolant when I first bought it. just been looking under the bonnet to locate the Thermostat as you probably know its at the side off the battery. are they easy to come off? also where is the cheapest place to buy 1 for my 1.9 JTD 54 plate? I have seen them on Ebay for around £50 t0 £70 fiat want £165 OCH

Hi,
I bought a gates one off eBay. Fairly easy to fit. You may need new hose clips, some are re-usable but need a special tool. The only difficulty on my 16V Croma was the EGR valve metal coolant pipe being in the way but I was able to undo the brackets and move it far enough without disconnecting so I did not have to fully drain the system. You Doblo may be slightly different. As I said before removing the battery and battery box improves access and was worth the extra work to make the main job easier.
