hello all

im really confused by an error message that appeared on my doblo this morning

it did the normal check when I started it and then I got the following message

service expired !

I thought it meant that the car needed a service but when I checked the service option in the menu the mileage said 7800 ?

please can anyone help and tell me whats going on ?

many thanks

Type fiatmultiecuscan into Google.
The free version won't get you what you need.
I think it's about £50 or so for the full version and then there's the £15/£20 cost of the lead to connect your pc to the car.

When you think of how much Fiat charges just to hook your car up and analyse it then it works out cheaper in the long run.

With the full version you can also eliminate the oil warning light.

thanks ed56

I have looked on the multiscan website and it appears I can reset my service light using the free version.

so in theory all I have to pay for is the lead off ebay.

is it a simple procedure or do I need a degree in computing or attend an open university course ?

just an update to the service message thing.

started my doblo up on Monday morning to go to work and the message has now disappeared !

do I change the oil or just blame it on fiat electrical gremlins and forget about it ?

guess what the message has now reappeared and I have decided to ignore it.

but when its really cold I get abs failure message come up but the abs warning light doesn't stay on telling me there is a problem.

only seems to do it now and again when its really cold.

I have heard this is yet again another fiat electrical gremlin.

Too many electrics on cars nowadays.
just had problems with warning light on rear/foglight. Was fault on brake switch!

just get yourself Multiecuscan and lead/s and follow the instructions.
you'll get better at it the more you use it.
get rid of the service code and oil change.
If ABS light has gone out then don't worry about it. If it stays on use ecuscan to analyse.

Then just use the car!
