Hi I have a 2007 doblo cargo with 223B1000 engine, done about 166500 miles. It runs fine and passed its MOT and is a lovely machine to drive, but I am concerned about it making what looks like a lot of smoke when I press the throttle down hard and accelerate. Also it smokes quite a bit when I start it, but quickly goes away.

It's particularly noticeable at night (car lights behind me illuminate it) and I was wondering what I could check. I replaced the air filter and put new oil and filter on it recently about 2 months ago. The only thing I could think of is possibly a leak on the boost hose, or maybe the MAP sensor is clogged with crap? I plan on checking those, but perhaps someone has experienced this before and could give me some pointers.

Theres no engine check light or anything to say there's something wrong, perhaps it's a normal characteristic.

Thanks.

High chance it is a boost leak. Eitger tgat or the diesel filter is clogged.

If egr valve stuck slightly open boost will "leak" straight into and out of exhaust.
