The Interior mirror fell of the windscreen is there a special pad to keep it on the windscreen or glue it on with super glue any advice appreciated

Special pads are sold at the likes of halfords, you can use superglue, however if you try to then dip your mirror it will fall off, as without the give of the pad, it's very brittle!

Thanks i read on here they are rubbish the ones sold by Halfords maybe best to go to a Fiat dealer.

The halfords ones are fine, as long as you follow the instructions to the letter, feel free to use the fiat ones.......if you like spending £££s for basically the same thing

Clean that part of the screen. Clean it again - and maybe once more for luck.
Clean the part of the stalk that sticks to the screen, make sure it's well and truly clean & grease free.

The pad will work best if the screen & mirror stalks are warmed up first.

I could never understand the thought processes behind sticking a mirror to the screen. Only ever had one car where the mirror was screwed to a housing on the roof.

On the plus side, if you are a tall driver (like me), the ability to reposition the whole mirror is a bonus.

Hi Weshdoblo....had the same problem and tried all solutions non of which worked. Spoke to a local windscreen replacement company and he stated that all aftermarket pads etc will not work. He did it for £10 using the glue that is available to the trade and used in original manufacturing. So try Autoglass or a similar local company and I am sure you will be ok.
