Now I know they don't want us to do any work on our vehicles and that they want is to take it to a Fiat Garage....
but what is this? I'm wanting to fit LED running lights where the fog lights go. My lamp holders are blanked out. I see the mount is conveniently part of a panel which should simply unbolt...WRONG! See the snap attached - the top two are standard hex bolts but the lower one won't budge. It doesn't look standard and I'm about to get the drill out. But has anyone seen this before? Is it some hair-brained anti-theft bolt? Or what?
Help!

According to ePER they are held in by three of the same screws, part number 51779818.

See here for image of screw:

They are a "torx"screw head drivers available at Halfords etc. sometimes you can force a small flat to fit but I'd use the proper one. I removed mine and installed LED lamps into my fog lamps and rewired them through a relay powered from the side light supply so they come up as soon as you start the engine but go out when you switch on your lights.

Zeewulf - thanks so much. I can't see them properly - are they hex, torx or star? The top two came off easily with a hex but neither the bottom ones do and they're getting a bit rounded...

EXACTLY what I'm trying to do! The torx set I got from Halfords just slipped and wouldn't sit properly. HAve you got a snap of your finished lights? I'd like to see them!

I've found out it's a torx bolt and will soon get underneath the front to see what's behind - but I think both sides bottom fiixing has seized or rusted etc? Not sure what next to do...

From memory I think the bolts screw into a captive nuts ,I would of thought a dose of wd40 then remove the other two bolts securing the fog light insert then tweak from the kerbside edge whilst unscrewing the offending bolt. Failing that drilling the offending bolt with a good HSS drill bit.

and thanks to all! I first bought a set of Torx wrenches £15 from a well-known orange / black logo car parts seller. They just rounded the things, so they went back and I swapped that for a set of Torx easy-out type 'dyes' which just spun in the now rounded bolt heads. So they went back too! A good old fashioned drill + bit did the job - and yes they are held in a captive thread and were rust-welded. Anyway, job done.

Any suggestions which Doblo stockist I might get front fog light brackets from - I have after-market LED units just need the brackets.

Edtheted - I just wired running lights into where the fogs go and spliced into the side light feed near the bulb - so they work when the side lights are used. Thinking of doing something similar, but this time using the headlamp feed for some stuff INSIDE the cab (I know what you're thinking...just ignore me, I'm still just a H a lfords kid). You said you used a relay? What sort of rating was it please 12v I guess? How many mA etc?.

OK the spliced side light 12v supply should be wired to the 5amp relay coil so when the lights are switch on the relay operates and the DRL extinguish. Wire the normally closed relay contacts to the fog/DLR light feed and a ign. switched 12v to the common relay terminal.
