Evening fiat forum!

I'm a new owner of a 2011 1.3d sx Doblo cargo with 80k miles, I have a couple of questions if you guys could help me with please ?

I bought this from a small garage local to myself and asked them about cambelt change, they told me I don't have one and it has a chain, would this be true? (I'm no mechanic and wouldn't know what I'm looking at!)

Egr valves, I know about blanking plates etc.. has anyone done this on this engine?, easy to fit, where did you buy it from?.

Other than that she's a sweet van, any common faults to look for?. Apologies if this has been asked before.

Cheers
Daz

Things to look for;

Noisy rear dampers
Front top swivels seizing up - you hear a twanging noise when turning lock to lock
Front spring failures
First gear can be tricky to engage on some cars

The 1.3JTD is a chain drive. We generally only change them when they're noisy. or if they fail.

As above, The Doblo suffers most from worn rear shock absorber top bushes.
And the front strut top mount bearings going dry and noisy.

With regards to the EGR. The 1.3 doesn't suffer too much from egr issues. It's the 1.9 that they're really prone to fail on.
