So, as they were asking to be wound up I asked...
Thank you for your reply.
Two questions:-
1. Would you like to comment on the innaccuracy in the drivers hand book, surely this is not a technical matter.
2. If I have difficulty resolving a problem with my dealer, where is my point of appeal within Fiat UK, if I am not allowed access to the technical dept?
And they said......
Thank you for contacting the Fiat Information Centre
We are looking into your enquiry about the accuracy of the Doblo Manual. Since we are making this enquiry we will also try and establish the answers to your two original questions about the heated wing mirrors on your Doblo.
So it is possible, but just in case I thought that I had scored a point.....
As for your most recent point for technical enquiries we recommend that you contact your nearest authorised Fiat servicing agent because they have the training, experience and equipment to assist with these enquiries. If they are unable to help personally with your enquiry, they can then contact Fiat UK Technical Department for the information.
The Fiat technical department is not available to the public for general enquiries or technical advice. From past experience we have found that giving advice over the phone for technical issues to technically inexperienced customers is usually not a satisfactory resolution for either party.
Or, to put it another way ' If your are stupid enough to buy one of our cars, you obviously can't be trusted with anything technical.
Innit nice to be appreciated?
