General doblo rear door wont open

Hey folks. having some problems with a rear door on a doblo i purchased. it wont open via central locking or with the key. it is a single door. any help would be mucho apreciated!

ive got the double door version and mine sometimes does that i spay WD40 into the key hole

open key hole with a little screwdriver then plenty of WD40

Don't leave it to long, eventually will stay locked and have to drill it out. Take off door card and clean it all b4 it's to late the solenoid will be sticking.

OK. I took the panel off the inside of the tailgate to have a look. I was going to try wd40 until I noticed that the connecting rod was hanging off.it seems the rod connecting the handle to the actual lock has snapped. Does anyone know how to get the handle assembly out of the tailgate. I've tried the search function on here for older threads but no results came back.

There are a lot off threads regarding rear door locks they are a never ending tail of woe
On the twin door there is a 6mm bolt holding outer handle on cunning bit is the thing had\has an anti tamper head e.g. breaks off when tightened well it did on all 3 of ours 7 had to be drilled out.
The rod has a cheap clip to hold it in place, if rod has right angle on the end the clip has either fallen off or broken, that is if my memory is good,.

its the single door tailgate, but it sounds lime a similar rod assembly- it is indeed a rod with a right angle and has got remnants of a plastic clip of sorts on it..

There should be a hole the right angle pokes through the clip only holds it in, if it is like the 2 door rear
