O.K. Key/Immobiliser question......

Do the 2006 on Doblos have a 'master' key with a chip or circuit board inside them ?? For instance,on my Rover 45,it has a 2 button plipper to lock unlock the car and this also sets the alarm/Immobiliser......Is it a similar system on the Doblos ??
The reason I ask is because the Doblo that I've just bought only has 2 plain keys......these lock/unlock the car and it was running/driving perfectly well, according to the fella I got it from. So......is there a 'master' which has the remote lock/unlock function on it ??
I've just looked on eek bay and there's a guy on there selling a new blank key, fitted with a used transponder, which he says can be re-programmed to your car......is this correct, please ??
The key (for the car that I've bought) that I'm looking at has number 2,with an upside down triangle, partially inside 2 circles,on one side and an 'A' number on the other.

Anyone give me the nitty gritty on this issue, please ??

The Doblo didn't use a master key system but most have remote central locking.
First thing to do would be to check if yours is fitted with remote central locking.
Easiest way to do that is to look up your Doblo on Eper using your vin number. Then check under engine starting equipment which keys are available to order for your doblo. Just the standard keys or remotes aswell.
If it's post 2006 it should be on the HiTagII immobiliser system. The remotes on these have the immobiliser chip integrated into the remote circuit board, and it controls both the immobiliser and remote. (Unlike the earlier Doblos that have a separate glass rfid chip for the immobiliser)
Be aware that although possible to program second hand keys/keys not originally supplied specifically for your vehicle. It requires specialist equipment to do so. So make sure you have someone that can program it for you. Also worth noting that although various keys look the same they are not. Both the pre and post 2006 remotes are refered to as code2 in Fiat literature and both stamped with a number 2 on the key blade, The internals are different.

Perfect. Thanks.

Are you equipped to code such keys.??

Can anyone give me a working link to this 'eper' ,please ?? The only one that I've found appears to be from 2005 and doesn't even list the Doblo !!

Help !?

O.K......Found my way in,via pekidi.com . Went to the section for the keys,as minirib said.....It gives various part numbers ,plus any updates or alternatives, but doesn't specifically state anything about remote control type keys..... I've written the numbers down,if anyone wants to see and can decipher them ??
I've also found out the date of manufacture for my car - 13-10-2005 (it IS the facelift version).

I think that the most relevant numbers may be @ No3 in the list: 735304404,code 2 key,c11750.....or 735304406, e008,c11750

+ @ No5: 71751387,code card 2.....or 46514910,code card 2 ,(compat ATR).

Make any sense ??
