Hi all.....
Am looking at a Doblo mpv 1.9 diesel, which has the cam belt snapped. The fella says that he was 'just cruising along',when it went. .... Now, can any of you tell me what damage is likely to have been done and some estimate of what it would cost to get it back to good health, please ??
How close do the valves run on these ?? I know that the old Vauxhall/Isuzu 1.7's used to wreck everything, when they failed, because the tolerances were so tight......yet on the old Talbot express 2.5's,you could get away with no damage.....just pop a new belt on and away you went ! .... So what are the Doblo 1.9's like in this respect ??
Also.....how can I identify whether it's the 105 or 120 version ?? Anyone who's got (technical) experience with these,please ??
