Hi.

I have a 2004 Fiat Doblo Cargo JTD. The drivers door is REALLY hard to shut. Have to slam - this has led to having to put the window back on the runners. I have oiled all the hinges. The door doesn't seem to line up with the rest of the body lines. If I lift the door - it does not move. There is some damage around where the door actuator attaches to the door but no lifted paint or the like by the hinges.

Any ideas? It is becoming irritating and is now beginning to eat paint where it keeps hitting the body.

Cheers.

Is the door stiff, or does it not fit the hole

Door is stiff. When it is pushed to, it is sitting below where it should be as well. So is stiff and dropped.
I have heard that you can bend the hinges by putting a piece of wood on the lower runner of the door frame and slowly pushing the door against it to bed the hinges back upwards. Would this work?

Cheers.

First get rid of the stiffness, a good release fluid try Plus gas, work door full travle while putting release fluid on.
When free, OIL the Hinges
& do same, release fluid is what it says not a lubricant. You can then see how it hangs, have adjusted low doors with a block of wood & a car jack, but be careful it is easy to jack to much, jack door up with it closed as far as jack will let you
Did I say be careful.
Doors used to have a way of oiling hinges then Ford I think discovered role pins
The back doors are another thing on the D to seize up I posted a sort of fix by drilling into hinge at an angle so you could at least dribble oil into hinge 3mm
hole at Degrees in moving part of hinge there is a picture of one of ours with this mod
