Has anyone replaced a fuel filter on the above please? I intend to replace mine soon & I am wondering if the filter is an element inside a canister? Viewed from above the unit has a large multi plug on the top section of the unit, which is then secured to the lower by torque screws. Would this whole unit be replaced on service? TIA.

I'm I have the grande Punto 1.6 16v a955300 engine diesel, the only filter I have changed is the one top left on the bulk head as you look from the front of the car, this is a sealed unit, electrical connection on the bottom and quick release fuel lines, I take it this is not the one you are talking about?

Mine is the 1.6 16v Multijet. The filter is on the off side front of the engine bay. I can't see any electrical connection to the base of the unit.

Well done Jazz452, that's the part I have on mine! I just checked the service interval on mine & it said change at 70k (kilometres) or 4 years, mine is a few months over that with only half the mileage so I will leave it. I did notice a water drain in your picture, so I will investigate draining any sediment off the bottom instead of replacement at the moment.
