I have a 2004 Doblo 1.9JTD with an intermittent fault. Occasionally the Pre Heater warning light will come on, after starting, and flash for roughly 1/2 minute. This sequence may continue for a few days then the car will start and the Pre Heater light will stay out. I have checked for stored error codes but the reader reports no codes stored. I have no idea what is causing this problem. The Glow Plugs have been checked a pronounced ok. Any ideas?

Check all your earthing first ESPECIALLY the beeg fat forker that runs down from the frame to the block at the front passenger side. Get hold of it, yank it about, and make sure that it's properly sound WRT the cable into the connector that bolts to the block - then clean that connection up.

Are all your guages steady, or are they flicking about?
