Hey guys, I have the 1.9 105bhp doblo van. After a lot of power issues I blanked off the egr which helped massively but now my engine management light is on constantly. The remap will 1. get rid of this issue, 2. Better economy and 3. MORE POWER. Soooo... My question to you beautiful people is where's the best place to have this done. I live in Wales with a CF81 postcode. Anywhere in or around Merthyr, Cardiff or Newport would be great

My mate had my van remapped (and EGR blanked) before I bought it.

All I can say is I have no EML. It has to have been mapped out.

Afraid who he used etc is unknown. :) I can tell you the engine sure has some grunt. Feels like about 140-145bhp on full chat with minimal smoke. All on stock JTD hardware.

Spoke to a few local tuning companies that can only get me to 130 but Pembrokeshire remapping can get me closer to 150. Just haven't got time to get to Pembroke dock (2 hours away) ?

I'd be inclined to head towards people who state they can get you 130, than someone who claims they can get you 150, and will end up getting you 135 - which is probably more realistic.
And probably enough, as well, given that 150 is going to show any weakness in your clutch PDQ.
Not much use getting 20 extra horses, if all it does is make your clutch slip.

Its not just the clutch it is also traction that you have to consider The chassis on the Doblo isn't particularly high tech and I would be worried about poor Traction and torque steer with 150hp. More is not always best and it might lead you to then need to spend a load more on roll bars, lowering, new dampers, grippy tyres etc. I get torque steer in the wet with only 105hp on the latest model Dobby, so too much more power might be a liability.
