Technical dying doblo mpv 1.9jtd

hi i hope you can help
i bought an 05 1.9jtd doblo it looks to have had very little servicing or care filthy mouldy seats but it was cheap
my brother is a good mechanic (bmw) he has done cambelt w pump major service thermostat
first faults key code intermittent
after about a week engine cutting out to the point that it wouldnt re start had to tow it to brothers next morning it fired up fine
later today he ran it again idles fine as soon as you try to pull away it dies he had it ticking over tugged on the engine loom instantly died fault codes are

just an update my brother has been going through the engine loom and found a purple wire very corroded it fell apart soldered in a new piece and all seems to be well
