Fiat doblo limited to 68mph

Sorted
£50 and a fully working van now and the original ecu still in place(y).
Thanks for the replies.

I contacted T-Vans who were advertising doblo vans with the option to remove speed limiter in the advert.
Took him a couple of mins.
Can't really understand main dealer not being able to do this?

im in the same boat bought at auction chuffed to bits with it but the 68mph sucks
were is this t vans located as sounds the way forward

You need to disconnect the Pulse Wire - takes a couple of mins and done.

The repercussions if this is a company vehicle are beyond severe, so resist if you have a mortgage, family or life that relies on your income. If you can throw that away for an extra 10mph or something, then go for it.

Don't forget your ECU records much more than you think it does......

If private, you can do what you wish - don't forget to tell your insurers though as in the result of an accident, they will look for any excuse to walk away, especially if a high speed and valuable claim.

where is pulse wire?

Depends on age. Let me know year and I'll tell you where it is.

If I do this, you must understand it is at your own risk, and is not advised.

That You are aware of the implications: Under certain cirumstances you may find you have nullified insurance, If involved in a fatal accident and the modification is found you may be prosecuted or imprisoned as a result (chances are slim but no unknown - a Lorry driver with switched limiter sentenced 7 years for a fatal accident where speed was a major factor)

Let me know year and I will let you know the VSS - If over a certain age, it may have an interface added to convert in which case will need to know model for exact colour. If you are reasonably competent, I can tell you which to avoid snipping....which is more important!

I am in the same boat, limited to 70mph
ex carrilion fleet doblo 2011 model

Hi,:)

as I said in the last post,

it's a software thing in the ECU , you can get a company to do it for @£50,

of buy the kit for @£60 and have it for other stuff - like faultcodes,
service resets, etc.

thanks for that,
what is it exactly that I would need to buy , can you possibly point me in the right direction

this is the fully supported package,

however you can buy the 3 or 4 cables your vehicle requires from ebay for CHEAP , and the Licenced Software is 50 EURO from Yanni the person who wrote it, "MultiecuScan"

where are you based..?

Hi,
Are you sure MES can reset limiters? I thought it needed a ECU re-flash on the Doblo, MES does not do this.
It's great software but can't do everything.

from the other related threads..

it appears it's just a setting ..like the speed limit beeper:)

Hi,
Looking at the Fiorino with Multiecuscan in simulation shows there is a limiter adjustment, but this does not appear to be there for the Doblo. I know there was a thread for n ex SSE Doblo which needed a re-flash to remove the limiter. It seems to depend on the model, engine and possibly year. Big fleet buyers like SSE can negotiate custom options like limiters.

There is a speed Limit setting on MES but it's not on ALL the Doblo's

my Doblo is a type 263 and just spoken to Gendan uk and there is an option in the software to reset or remove the limiter, very informative person on the phone and he ran a simulation while I was on the phone, anyhow I have ordered the kit off them as he also told me it would fit my wife's 500 also so a bit of a bonus
