Well, the issues started four and half years ago when we bought the car. The first few months I had nearly sixteen!!! times engine failure, DPF cleaning problems, EGR valve, etc… We`re the second owners, the first passed back the car after 3 years to the same Fiat Dealer where we bought from (Rockingham Cars, Corby), good question why.
We bought the car with one year full warranty, sadly with hire-purchase loan, they just patched the things in the first year, after I bought an ELM adapter and
Multiecuscan sw, and I fixed nearly everything without problem, for 3 years.
Last year end of august went into limp mode, which is now sorted. Temporary.
My previously post (connection with this):
https://www.fiatforum.com/doblo/355...ter-type-223-can-t-connect-engine-module.html
I just realised there was always a CAN bus error, when I cleaned that, it came back instantly.
Always, straight away.
Maybe this caused that, the DPF never was cleaned automatically, I did that with forced regen once - twice a year.
My theory, there is a cable/connection problem between ECU and bodycomp. No proper communication between the moduls, this can cause the issues (if I`m right)
So I started to check physically the connectors/cables from the body comp to the D4A front engine coupling, then to the ECU, I got multimeter, basic electronic knowledge.
And then I surprised and stuck, as the e-learn manual says:
“The control unit M10 is connected via the CAN - pins 6, 7 and 48 - to the Body Computer M01 and the other nodes in the network”
These 6, 7, 48 pins connected from ECU to the D4A coupling`s D, E, C pins then these going to the bodycomp 36, 37, 20 (36, 37 pins CAN, 20 is a K-line).
I started the check from bodycomp where these pins/cables exist, then on the D4A connector, where the fun starting. Because there are two connector as D4A, but you cant mix/swap them as they looks mirrored, but I found my cables on the other connector (not on that one, which the e-manual says), this is the smaller thing. The bigger is, when I seen the CAN (if they are, I`m not sure now) cables in the connector going to nowhere, as there are no pins on the other side of the connector, which should going to ECU. Only the K-line connected, but that is not in the pin 48 on the ECU`s connector.
Well, this is why I need a proper CAN wiring, or if somebody know where they running, so I can check them. Maybe this gonna sort out the things.
Thank you.
