Hi there ,
Im Claire and have just signed up to this site ! I have recently bought a Doblo 1.9 JTD which I have converted to a kitsch little micro camper !
I have loads of oil left from my old Autosleeper and was wondering if it was ok to use for the Doblo ?
Theres a bit of 10W40 (which from what ive read might be ok ?) and a lot of 15W40 , which Im not sure about (most things ive read on general tinterweb say 10W40 or 5W40) but would save me a packet if I could use it !
The blurb on the label says ok for any turbo diesel engine but 'saving a packet' on oil does not compare with shelling out for new engine ! (or worse MPG ? )
Also the current MPG doesnt seem that great ?
Can anyone advise me please ?
Thanks , Clairabelle .

If it were me I'd not use the 15w oil.
I'm not an expert though and I'm sure there are many on the forum that are and may give different advice but until you have definitive advice to the contrary err on the side of caution.

I've never had problems with turbos on any of my diesels but lots of my mates have - all down to oil starvation.

Hello, and welcome,

as you've probably guessed the 15 is THICKER than the 10,
so not ideal NOW, but may be o.k. in the Summers HEAT;)

look ( SEARCH)in the Stilo section for recommendations/ info., as that's the most popular place for the Mighty 1.9 JTD's, (y)
