Hi all
Just passed the 73K point and am now due my 5th set of front boots.
The cars an 03 JTD model and in use daily. No other probs apart from high tyre wear. What are you lot getting from a front set of rubber??

Cheers, John

Struth!!. You must be either
(a) Driving like the sweeney.
(b) Not checking tyre pressures regularly.
(c) You have kerbed the wheels and put the tracking out. Get it checked - only around £15.

I have done 68,000 miles since last October in my 1300 van. The rear tyres look barely worn, and my second set of fronts are not yet 50% worn. The things that I wear out are wiper blades. Now on 4th set!.

my dads eats tyres, get michilins (spelt very wrong) they last the longest

I asked the same question on here a while ago, and got a great tip about Pirelli Citynets. They have a deeper tread than the P3000s and GT2s i've used before, and give better grip than both IMO.

Buy them online from my tyres or such like.

Cheers

I do about 20k a year and I drive a 1.9 JTD ELX anyway the bloke in the tyre shop told me that the Doblo must have reinforced tyres fitted this will have the letters RF stamped on the side otherwise I would be back every 6 months for new ones. He also said if you do over 10k a year do not bother with budget tyres as you will not get the wear. So I took his advice and bought a set of branded Firestones as it is the only branded RF at the correct size I have found where Firestones, Pirelli and Goodyear they are all around £50 a pop, interesting Michellin do not do a RF to fit the Doblo.

On the front tyres I got about 20k from my Pirelli and 25k from my Firestones. I still have the firestones on the rear they have done 25k and they look good for another 10k. Just got another set of Pirelli for the front but only because they where all I could get at short notice as it is hard to find RF tyres in this size at the right price on national chain of tyre fitters quoted over £90. All in all I would recommend the Firestones RF they are a good brand last well and I still return an average of 55mpg. Hope this helps
