Hi,
Has anyone had there engine cut out while driving, my doblo has 74k on the clock and was doing 80 mph when the lights came on the dash and no engine, fortunately going in a straight line.

Independant garage couldn't fix, so had to take to dealer who has never heard of it and didn't know what to do.

Three hours and a replacement solinoid arm for the air mask and a £217.00 bill.

Broke down next day 8.00am and now say a rpm sensor has came up faulty another £65.00.

Has anyone ever had this and is the 1.9d as reliable as the 1.9jtd.

would appreciate your views

Hi, my Dobbie did a similar thing to me on the M56 and it turned out to be the timing belt which had slipped (due to broken cover debris under the belt from previous dealer mechanics not clearing up after themselves) after a long conversation with the previous owner I have decided to save myself a lot of potential problems and trade him in for something similar of a different make :-(
He too is a 1.9 non turbo and is on his third engine and now it is no longer covered by a warranty I cant afford to take the risk.
Maybe the Turbo version is better?
