Hello e1 my name is darren, i have just got myself a lovely doblo cargo 1.3 multijet sx van.
registered 28/03/06 82,000 miles which i believe to be euro 4 compliant for cheaper road tax. i am being charged full VED at the moment so i rang dvla and they said to send in the v5 and a covering letter and they will look into it.
Does anyone know were i can get official evidence of EURO 4 to send when i send back the v5 so they can change this for me? thanks

Just came off the phone with this issue myself after learning my old 2003 diesel focus was half the price.
My v5 code listed my van as ZXB1A so checked handbook spec.
Z= N1 van 2 seats
XB= 1.3 multijet 90hp euro4"no DPF"
1= 1 drive axle/steering axle
A= manual gearbox 5 speed

Unfortunately my 2011 model needed to be registered between 1st march 2003 & December 2006 to qualify, I suspect your sx may have the XC code engine = 1.3 multijet 90hp euro5"with DPF" so unless its registered between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2010 you wouldnt qualify for cheaper tax.

I believed that all Doblo Cargos were classed as light vans and all are charged at the same VED £235 pa irrespective of what comes out of the exhaust pipe.

Taxed mine yesterday at £195. Didn't give it much thought but must be the cheaper rate.
