Hi, Dobbin has just started playing up, the problems/symptoms are as follows,
Starts fine, idles fine, pull away and about 1600rpm on a light throttle I get surging from the engine. Gun it and it wont do it.
It does not appear to be a fuelling issue, I changed the fuel filter and it made no difference.
It does not run rough at all, in general its a very smooth engine, no irregular, or odd noises to lead you to a fault. Just this pulse-like surging between 1600-2200rpm as you change up through the gears.
I am suspicious that it may be the variable nozzle system sticking in the turbocharger, but it has only done 35000 miles and is regularly serviced.
Anybody had this issue?
Cheers,
Dave.

Hi my 2007 1.9 multijet has done 45k and has the same symptoms as you discribed did you manage to sus out the problem with yours?

After I serviced my 2.0 multijet it started doing this and I notice a very small fuel leak where the pipes clip onto the filter. Its going to need a pipe or an o ring but am assuming this may be the problem
