Just had a broken drive shaft o/s. My independent repairer/garage said they had never seen one before. It broke at the wheel end. Has anyone else
encountered this problem?

I've seen a few, mostly Renault Espace.

They break inside the CV boot so they spin, but are not connected.

Seems FIAT made these shafts for 90bhp models, but as the bhp was increased the shafts were not uprated to match.

Mostly they tend to twist out of shape and the car wobbles and shimmy's as you increase speed.

I had to replace both my shafts as they were both twisted :(

I got them from Euro Car Parts. Fifty quid for the short shaft (left) and one hundred & eighty for the long shaft (right), but I got around seventy odd back when I handed the old one in. They didn't want the short one back.

Now all I have to do is replace the glow plugs, glow plug relay and the injectors

Owning a Doblo is like being married, say bye bye to all your money :D
