Hi there,

My Fiat Doblo 1.3 diesel is getting blocked and the diesel fuel is entering the sump oil, causing oil warning light to come on. I have recently paid to have the turbo removed and unblocked - this has seemed to cure the problem for 3 week however the oil change light has appeared again and the dipstick is showing more oil than before.

EXTRA INFO
  • I am using low ash oil
  • I have only done 41,000 miles
  • I have had 11 oil and filter changes since 2008
Could my particulate filter be comepletely blocked? This engine has been regenerated on 8 different occassions - I am at a loss. Could anyone familiarise their situations to mine and give me any advice.

thank you,
Spamboo

Diesel in the sump usually means worn bores, but I rather think in your case there is a problem with the DPF.

If the DPF isn't functioning properly, they engine will continue to try and do a re-gen. When this happens, the excess fuel will find it's way past the rings into the sump.

Either have the DPF & sensors thoroughly checked or replace either or....
