Technical remote keys

hi need some advice! I have just bought a 2011 doblo cargo multijet
which came with 2 standard keys and I want to upgrade to a remote key does any one know if I can just buy a remote new or second hand and reprogram to my van or would I have to change the locks?
im not bothered about having the keys recut just the remote use! how do you reprogram a key?

You would need it programming at a fiat dealership, providing you have the code card, and the doblo has the remote reciever

I looked into doing this, but the cost was prohibitive. It was the wrong side of £200
