Hi all posting this on behalf of my Mum.


We have air hissing from somewhere under the bonnet, at first I thought the noise was only there when the Air Con was on, but it's there when the Air con's off as well. :hm:

The noise is similar to that of when you remove the inflator hose on a Tyre Compressor or Air Machine.


Anybody have this problem or know of any solutions?

Almost definately a leak in the intercooler pipework.

Normally it's where the rubber hose comes from the intercooler to the inlet manifold.

It could simply be a loose worm drive clip (jubilee clip) or perhaps a hole where it has been wearing against the gearbox.

It needs investigated....

Agreed, It is unlikely to be expensive either. An hours labour tops.
