Its a 2008 1.4 8v petrol.

Rear heat shield is corroded and clanking. Has been tightened once but not a permanent fix.

Has anyone priced-up one of these or found a non-dealer supplier?

Or maybe just remove it?

The standard fix is a penny washer (an extremely large washer) on the retaining bolt. This normally lasts about two years, especially if you get them to cover it with grease (this slows the corrosion).

I would claim off your local authority because salt on the roads in winter is the biggest killer of aluminium.
